We are writing to inform you of an upcoming change to our IP addresses. This change is part of our ongoing efforts to improve our FirstPriority (FP) services and ensure the highest level of security and performance for our clients.

What is changing?
The IP addresses for the DNS records fpe.rmt.com.au, fpmobile.rmt.com.au, data.rmt.com.au and fpgs.rmt.com.au are changing. Please click on the link above to view the IP changes.
To help speed up the propagation of DNS resolution to the new IP address changes, we will decrease the Time-to-Live (TTL) values.
This change may affect the following during the maintenance window:
- Access to Services: You may need to update your firewall rules, DNS settings, or any other configurations that reference our IP address to maintain uninterrupted access to our services.
- Scheduled Downtime: There will be a brief period of downtime during the maintenance window.
- Security Settings: Ensure that any security settings or allowed listing (whitelists) are updated to include our new IP address to avoid any access issues.
Why is this change happening?
This change is part of an action item from the recent disaster recovery event and will also enhance our network infrastructure, increase security and reduce IP changes in the future.
What do you need to do?
Please update your records and any systems that rely on our IP address to reflect this change by the effective date. This may include updatingfirewall rules, DNS settings, or any other configurations that reference our IPaddress.
Flush your local DNS Cache during the maintenance window, whichwill ensure that your device uses the latest version of the DNS record. This will help speed up the IP change update and minimise the impact to your user's access to the FP services.
RMT continues to innovate and deliver ongoing improvements to our ChemAlert platform, and we will be undertaking a minor upgrade to your ChemAlert service.
A minor upgrade is scheduled to your ChemAlert SaaS service on Wednesday31st July 2024. During this period, you will experience a single outage of up to 15 minutes.
Our intention is to apply this upgrade to your service at a time with minimal disruptions. We will monitor your service throughout the given timeframe and apply this upgrade during a window when there are minimal (if any) active logins.

These certificates will be renewed during the maintenance window and therefore if your software systems have any integration or dependency on these certificates e.g. for ChemAlert RESTful API then they will need to be imported. Following on from the external network outage and subsequent fail over to our secondary site, some Clients may be experiencing degradation for their ChemAlert services. As a result, RMT technicians will be conducting investigations over the weekend, and may initiate a system restart for your ChemAlert Service.

RMT will be undertaking an upgrade of the ChemAlert Portal web service which runs in our SaaS environment, to support the rollout of ChemAlert v5.1. During this nominated scheduled maintenance window your existing ChemAlert service will be restarted to interface with the new Portal. Your ChemAlert application version does not change as part of this restart, however our next version of ChemAlert is imminent and scheduling of upgrades will commence in the coming weeks.
Your ChemAlert SaaS instance will be restarted during this maintenance window, during which your users will experience up to a 5 minute outage.
